Be a Nigg*r too Video

Now that the dust has settled from the controversy over the title of Nas' 9th studio album, the video for his first single "Be a Nigg*r too" is all over the net.

Nas is definitely not shy when it comes to using the n-word in this track. Lyrics: "I'm a nigg*r, he's a nigg*r, she's a nigg*r, we some nigg*rs. Wouldn't you like to be a nigg*r too?"

But is Nas really taking power away from the n-word? Or is this another over zealous attempt to reprieve social injustice? Here is what he said to MTV News:

"I wanna make the word easy on mutha----as' ears," he explained. "You see how white boys ain't mad at 'cracker' 'cause it don't have the same [sting] as 'nigger'? I want 'nigger' to have less meaning [than] 'cracker.' With all the bullsh-- that's going on in the world, racism is at its peak. I wanna do the sh-- that's not being done. I wanna be the artist who ain't out. I wanna make the music I wanna hear.

Stay tuned for the Nas interview with Pearl.

Pearl? Yep.

She's Kissing Girls

Used to sing about God in church, now she's singing about kissing girls.

Katy Perry, who is signed to Capital Records, released the first single, "I Kissed a Girl," from her debut album, "One of the Boys." And already, it's making a steady climb up the Billboard Hot 100. It went from #76 to #4 in the less than 8 weeks since its release. Beating out Rihanna's "Take a Bow @ #5" and catching up to Lil' Wayne's -"Lollipop @ #1."

Pearl?
Well, I likey. It's so damn catchy. My girl Crystal and I were blasting it in the car down the boulevard a couple days ago. But what do YOU think?

Without further ado...

My last year in college proved to be harder than I anticipated. But on May 23rd, I graduated! And now WE'RE BACK and still PEARL-ICIOUS!

Remember Ray Lavender serenading me a while back. Well, here is his NEW VIDEO "Stay."

Pearl?

I'd say not. The "rain" scene at the end seemed a bit low-budget. And I'm still trying to figure out which chick is the "main chick." Is it just me?

American Gangster, Right Here in your Face

T.I. is in a whole lot of trouble! He is facing 10 years in prison and a 250,000 fine for each count. "That means each individual gun and each individual silencer purchased could get him almost a decade in prison."

Prosecutor says. "it's an open and shut case."

He was arrested as part of sting operation in which is bodyguard was arrested attempting to purchase firearms from an undercover Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) agent. The bodyguard told the ATF agent that he was purchasing the weapons for T.I. with money he had given him.

In cooperation with the ATF, the bodyguard wore a wire while meeting with T.I. to hand over three machine guns and two silencers. When he was told about one of the silencers, T.I. reportedly said “no flash, no bang” and asked for the “change leftover” from the $12,000 he had given the bodyguard for the weapons. At that point, he was taken into custody.

Do you feel sorry for T.I.? Or Do you believe "if you did the crime, do the time?"
